Indian Constructions close to Nepali Frontier

There are at least fifteen constructions such as barrages, dams, embankments, link-bunds. ring-dams and highways constructed by India close to Nepali frontier. These constructions obstruct the natural flow of river water and monsoon rain flow from Nepali frontier towards India. It has created the inundation and water logging problems in Nepal Tarai. According to a study, nearly 8,200 hectares of Nepali land inundates during monsoon raining period and 1,880 hectares during winter season.
